Anoka Main Street

Scope:  The City of Anoka needed to map the existing conditions of portions of East and West Main Street.  Portions would be resurfaced, and others completely redesigned.  Along with EG Rud and Sons, Inc. we scanned and surveyed conventionally approximately 5000 feet of Right-of-way.

Benefits:  Survey crews did not have to be in the high traffic areas of Main Street, and because of scanning’s non-contact measurements the city did not need to be encumbered with temporary lane closures.

Architectural Mapping using spatial imaging

Architectural Mapping

3D Laser Scanning allows Architectural projects to be mapped in details never before seen.  Whether building elements need to be represented in 2D or 3D; scanning software can be utilized to get the existing elements to your designers in a timely/ cost effective manner.  With the added benefits of digital photography, both onboard and external, real color and texture can be captured and incorporated in the design process.  Historical buildings can be mapped and archived for future reference and restoration efforts.

Volume Calculation using spatial imaging

Volume Calculation

Whether you need a quick volume on a stockpile or need volumes monitored during the excavation process 3D laser scanning provides the fastest and most accurate volume calculations available.  We can scan the surface, calculate the volume, and print a report in our “Scan-Van” before we even leave your site.  No climbing on dangerous stockpiles or into pits are needed because of scanning’s non-contact measurements.
